Terms of use

These terms are the rules for using Econ Olympiad Prep. They are written in plain English. By using the site you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent, guardian or teacher.

Using the site

  • The site is free. You can use most of it without an account.
  • Use it for your own study, or to help students you teach. Please do not copy large parts of the site, its questions or its explanations to publish elsewhere.
  • Do not try to break the site, get around its limits (such as the daily AI marking limit), or use automated tools to collect its content.

Accuracy

We check every question before it is published, but mistakes can still happen. AI marking is labelled "AI marked, may be wrong" because it sometimes is. If you spot a mistake, use the "Report a mistake" link under the question.

Nothing on this site guarantees a result in any competition. Competition formats and rules belong to the organisers and can change; always check the official rules for your round.

Your account

Accounts are optional. You must be 13 or older to make one. Keep your sign-in email private. You can delete your account, and everything linked to it, at any time from your account page.

Submitting a question

When you send us a question:

  • It must be your own work, or properly adapted with its source given. Do not copy past Economics Olympiad papers or other published exams.
  • It must not include personal details about you or anyone else, or anything unkind, unsafe or unrelated to economics.
  • You give Econ Olympiad Prep permission to edit it, publish it on this site and keep it there, free of charge. It is published as a community question without your name.
  • We may decline any question without giving a reason. Questions are checked by AI and then by a person before anything is published.

If your account is deleted, your submissions are deleted too, but a question that has already been published stays on the site, still without your name.

Econ Olympiad Prep is an independent practice resource. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Economics Olympiad, INEV, the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) or any national organiser.

We may update these terms as the site changes. The latest version is always on this page.
